¡Momento! is a temporary pavilion designed by Spinagu (in collaboration with CARS) for the regional arts institiative Getty Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA, a far-reaching and ambitious exploration of Latin American and Latino art in dialogue with Los Angeles. The pavilion is composed of four architectural fragments, each housing a specific moment: seating, shelving, service and shade.
These four of the pavilion can be rearranged in a series of spatial compositions, producing an interior and domestic environment for the launch. As a temporary information kiosk, reading room, and discovery space for visitors to the Getty PST LA/LA Public Launch Party, the project takes its cues from the cultures of construction in both Latin America and Los Angeles, such as the stark forms of modernist architecture and the use of raw unfinished materials in building practices.
