A pro-bono design of the media art project space at Harvey Mudd College which supports student learning and making through a flexible teaching-studio environment organized around three core elements: large workshop tables, a digital arts station, and a material and book library. The large workshop tables serve as the central area for hands-on making, discussion, and critique, allowing students to spread out materials and work collaboratively on media projects. Along one side of the space, a dedicated computer station provides access to high-performance computers and digital tools for video editing, animation, sound design, coding, and digital fabrication preparation. Complementing these work zones, an accessible material library collects experimental material samples for teaching. Together, these elements create an open, studio-like learning environment where students can move fluidly between learning, making, and collaborating.
